Do you think love making before marriage is a sin? Maybe not, check these Bible passages
The question whether pre-marital love making a sin. What was Paul actually talking about when he mentioned love making immorality? When is then premarital love making a sin?
This is the answer then;
Deut 22:28-29 (NIV)
If a man happens to meet a virgin who is not pledged to be married and rapes her and they are discovered, he shall pay her father fifty shekels of silver. He must marry the young woman because he has violated her. He can never divorce her as long as he lives.
Now, when you have a woman/a virgin or a lady whom you are sure you will get married to, then you can choose to lie with her, but if you will not marry her, then you have made her a prostitute and turned her body to that of Mammon.
Paul (Ist Cor 6:18-20) in the New testament was also talking about temple prostitutes.
This automatically means, love making before marriage is not a sin if there is a 100% assurance that the guys are going to get married.
Besides, couples should know about their love making urges before they get married and talk about it. Failure of the couples in this aspect has made a lot of marriages crumble as it's not balanced
Ex 22:16 - 17 (NIV)
If a man seduces a virgin who is not pledged to be married and sleeps with her, he must pay the bride-price, and she shall be his wife. (17) If her father absolutely refuses to give her to him, he must still pay the bride-price for virgins.Deut 22:28-29 (NIV)
If a man happens to meet a virgin who is not pledged to be married and rapes her and they are discovered, he shall pay her father fifty shekels of silver. He must marry the young woman because he has violated her. He can never divorce her as long as he lives.
